ECS Smart Building
ECS Smart Building is an excellent collaboration between ECS and its affiliate, Tatung Company.
By combining ECS Intelligent Gateway with Tatung Smart Building Management System (SBMS), ECS not only becomes a paragon of energy conservation enterprise, but also provides a more convenient, smarter working environment for all employees.
● ECS Smart Office links Attendance Checking System (ACS) to control the air conditioner and lighting in office.
● Fan coil units are automatically operated when carbon dioxide in office floor reach to 800ppm.
● ECS Smart Parking System with plate recognition and parking direction.
● Established solar carport and rainwater sprinkler also provide green energy to our building and save us some cost.
With these intelligent building solutions, including electrical power consumption monitoring, environment controlling, and renewable energy using, an old building has become a modern energy conservation building which offers a better working environment for all employees.
Energy Conservation has been a major worldwide topic and constantly paid attention by many countries and individuals. ECS is always willing to do more to protect our planet, for energy conservation, we actively implement the intelligent building solutions to our headquarter building.
As worker checks in ACS, SBMS powers on air conditioner and lighting devices within his/her working area. As worker checks out ACS, SBMS powers off the devices for him/her. SBMS auto-controls public area devices, which depend on group setting.
ECS Smart Parking system combines with guest booking system to record guest’s name, visiting date & time and his/her vehicle plate number so to book the parking space for our guest easily.
When guest arrive, the system will match the plate number automatically and allow them to enter the company driveway gate directly. Visitor could easily find the parking space by following the parking direction shown on the monitors and parking space indicator.
Inside the Smart Meeting Rooms, all equipment items such as curtain, screen, projector, lighting and the heat exchanger are controlled by SBMS. Once the meeting room booked, employee could log in ECS intranet by using mobile device, and with a simply press of button, several types of lighting schemes are available for selecting in accordance with the conference needs. When booking time ends, all meeting devices would be powered off automatically, or employee could log out the system beforehand. We save lots of time to set up the meeting room by this mechanism.
The Multimedia display in our lobby shows energy efficiency of the building, such as energy generated by solar carport, rainwater collected, and electrical power usage of each floor in the building so to better utilize the green energy and manage the overall cost.
We’ve achieved 8% energy saving in 2nd half of 2015, and target to have 20% to 30% energy saving in 2016. With historical data collection and energy consumption analysis, SBMS provides a complete view to manage the electrical power, reduce the cost, and most of all, to urge us to put more efforts on our living environment.
