VIVOTEK, the domestic leading provider of security devices and solutions, announced the establishment of Open Security and Safety Alliance on September 24th in collaboration with Bosch, Pelco by Schneider Electric, Hanwha Techwin by Hanwha Group, and Milestones . The Alliance aims at creating a new standardized platform for security devices and solutions. This is the first time that Taiwan security company becomes an initiator in setting international standard for security solutions. This Alliance is expected to solve the problems that traditional security devices faces in closed system in terms of their compatibility and data security protection. With regards of the IoT(Internet of Things) architecture, it will create the connection of solutions, new standards and new models.
The President of VIVOTEK, Wen-Chang Chen, mentioned that security solutions have become smarter and fast- evolving system with more openness in the trend of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT. Based on the principle of Open Architecture, VIVOTEK becomes one of the founding members of Alliance. Meanwhile, the Alliance also welcomes enterprises from all walks to join in order to accelerate the innovation of security solutions and trigger industrial upgrades.
On October 3rd at the forum organized by Taipei Computer Association, the Special Assistant of President Chong-Zhi Lian pointed out that the profit decrease of hardware is irreversible, and the incompatible system affects the development of innovation and the data security. With A.I. and IoT, cross-industrial applications becomes important than ever, and promoting a connected Open Standard of Security should be put in the first priority.
After a year in organizing, the Open Security and Safety Alliance shows the urge of creating a cooperation platform for the providers of security devices and solutions. Therefore, the Alliance will focus on promoting compatible operation systems, connections of IoT architecture, data security, personal privacy security, optimization and certification of efficiency, and etc., aiming to promote new business models for security solutions. The incumbent president of the Alliance is Gert van Iperen from Bosch Building Technologies.
