Eyeing the growing demands in developing smart cities in Taiwan, British Office will be organising the “UK Pavilion” at the Smart City Summit & Expo 2018. British Office has been collaborating with TCA bringing in several British enterprises to Taiwan in the past four years. Catherine Nettleton, Representative of British Office, was impressed by Taiwan’s achievement and dedication in developing smart cities since she arrived to Taipei a year ago. Taking transportation as example, the speed, payment options and the overall user experience of the High Speed Rail, Taipei MRT and Taoyuan Airport MRT are all highly regarded by international visitors.
British Office has specifically secured the UK government’s “Innovation is GREAT” funding to bring more British technology companies to the Smart City Summit & Expo 2018 to explore the market potential, aiming to match the UK companies specializing in telecom, healthcare, transportation, data science, education and community management with Taiwanese companies in order to capture opportunities, not just in Taiwan, but the wider Asia Pacific region.
If you are a Taiwanese company or city representative and interested in knowing more about UK innovations and smart tech companies, please contact British Office for further Information.
